Channel Executive, Channel 4

As Channel Executive, Art works at the heart of commissioning at Channel 4, liasing closely with Chief Content Officer Ian Katz and Director of Content Strategy and Planning Kiran Nataraja. His role is extremely varied and includes: 

  • Working with Ian and Kiran to shape content strategy. 

  • In-depth knowledge of the Channel 4 content slate (shows, schedules, hits and misses) 

  • A great understanding of wider broadcasting landscape (recent hits, upcoming shows, indie and network knowledge) 

  • Assisting Ian and Kiran by preparing discussion papers, presentations and briefing notes. 

  • Acting as the point of contact for Commissioning to the wider Channel 4 business – working with everyone from Public Affairs to Marketing, Diversity & Inclusion to Sales. 

  • Working closely with Public Affairs to ensure OFCOM and remit requirements are being met. 

  • Working with the Audience Research team to provide analysis of programme performance for Ian and Kiran. 

  • Leading internal cross-departmental working groups on our biggest shows (like The Great British Bake Off and Rise and Fall). 

Before Channel 4, Art spent five years working in development at RDF.
