Faraz is the Founder and Managing Director of indie Gold Wala, with credits including ‘What’s In Your Bag?’ (CBeebies), 'What The 80s Sounds Like' (More 4), ‘My Mate’s A Muslim’ (BBC Three), and ‘Yo! MTV Raps: Streets’.Gold Wala is also a recipient of the 2023 BBC Small indie Fund for Entertainment.

Faraz is the chair of the Screenskills Unscripted Development Fund working group and sits on the advisory for the Children's Media Conference, He is also a columnist for Broadcast Magazine and a commentator for The Media Podcast.
