Lisa Chapman is a senior broadcast executive who has produced premium unscripted entertainment content in several genres for over 20 years.  Her work has straddled live studio production, talent shows, reality series, obs doc, music, live event coverage, ad funded and factual entertainment for the likes of the BBC, ITV, Channel 4, Channel 5, Sky, UKTV, Paramount, NBC, Fox and Amazon Music. 

Honeybird Studios is her new venture founded in 2023 - an independent regional production company with dual sites in Newcastle Upon Tyne and London.  The studio devises unscripted entertainment with an emphasis on creative collaboration and co-production with other indies, talent and creatives.  

Prior to founding Honeybird Studios, Lisa was Senior Vice President of Unscripted Television for Entertainment One UK for several years and before this she was Managing Director of Whizz Kid Entertainment, heading up the business from a start-up to a successful production business through to the acquisition by Entertainment One. 

Career highlights have included co-devising, launching and executive producing global hit reality series - ‘Ex on the Beach’.  Now on its 13th UK series, the format has been watched around the world with local versions produced in multiple territories including six seasons in the USA, with spin offs including ‘Ex in the City’, ‘Beach Body SOS’ and ‘Peak of Love’.   Lisa was Executive Producer of the ‘BAFTA Film Awards’ for the BBC from 2001-2021 and was also one of the senior team who launched the ‘Stand Up to Cancer’ brand in the UK, overseeing two mammoth telethons on Channel 4 and raising millions for the charity.  Other credits range from studio formats such as ‘Lip Sync Battle UK’, to ‘Let’s Dance for Comic Relief’ to major live events including ‘The Titanic: A Commemoration’ and ‘The Turner Prize’. 

Currently on the Board of North East Screen, Lisa cares passionately about the region and supporting the growth of socio-economic diversity in unscripted television.  A longstanding member of BAFTA, she has been involved in several industry panels and committees and has judged for BAFTA and the RTS in the past. 

Most recent credits include Consultant Welfare Executive for Paramount+ on new hit series ‘Dating Naked UK’, Showrunner at Fulwell73 for ‘Stormzy - Live from Queen Elizabeth Hall’ and the inaugural ‘Global Citizen Prize’ for NBC and Sky.
