Mona Qureshi

Director, UK Scripted Series, Netflix

Mona Qureshi joined Netflix UK Content team in June 2022 as Director of Scripted Series. As part of her role she has seen a great range of titles through to their debut on Netflix, including Adolescence, Dept Q from writer director Scott Frank, and the forthcoming Steven Knight's House of Guinness. Recent title commissions include the adaptation of Pride & Prejudice written by Dolly Alderton and Grown Ups by Samantha Strauss.


Prior to Netflix, Mona was a Commissioning Editor for BBC Drama, where she was responsible for a diverse portfolio of shows including the critically acclaimed Adam Kay’s This Is Going To Hurt, starring Ben Whishaw, The Responder, starring Martin Freeman and The English by Hugo Blick. Mona began her career in TV & Film as a Script Editor for BBC Films. She was Head of Development at Ruby Films, then Head of Development & Production at The Ink Factory, and across both her credits included feature films Brick Lane, Peter Morgan’s The Other Boleyn Girl, Small Island for BBC Drama, and Susanne Bier’s ratings and Emmy award winning adaptation of John le Carre’s The Night Manager
