Neil McCallum
Neil is currently Commissioning Editor for entertainment at the BBC having joined in March 2020 and is based in Glasgow. Until June 2024 he split his network commissioning duties 50/50 across both entertainment and daytime.
Since joining the BBC, his commissioning credits include: The Weakest Link, Alan Carr’s Picture Slam, The Hit List, Pointless & Pointless Celebrities, Bridge of Lies & Celebrity Bridge of Lies, David & Jay’s Touring Toolshed, The Graham Norton Show, Ballers, The Traitors and The Traitors: Uncloaked.
Prior to joining the BBC, he previously oversaw Hungry Bear’s Scotland office for 3 years where he exec produced shows including ‘All Round to Mrs. Brown’s Boys’ for the BBC.
He has also worked as an Exec Producer at companies including Talkback, TBI Media, Pulse and The 10 Group. In 2012, he left Channel 4 after 14 years where he led a small commissioning team and was responsible for their youth and music output as ‘Head of T4 & Music’.
