Olly Strous is Chief Technology Officer at Zinc Media Group, appointed in 2021 as the company’s first CTO. He oversees technology strategy across production, post-production, IT, and innovation, driving modernisation and growth. He led the creation of a centralised, scalable technology platform that transformed Zinc’s historically siloed operations, enabling the group to deliver both high-volume factual entertainment and premium documentary content. This has supported productions ranging from hundreds of hours of Bargain Loving Brits in the Sun to high-end series like Top Gun: The Next Generation for Disney+ and National Geographic. 

Olly’s platform has streamlined business integrations, improved efficiency, and delivered measurable profitability gains. He has championed cloud-native post-production pipelines, sustainable and hybrid workflows, standardisation of camera systems, and data-driven management tools. His infrastructure ensures seamless onboarding of acquisitions, aligning technology with commercial growth. 

Previously, as Director of Post-Production at ITN Productions, he grew operations from 4 to 122 edit suites, delivering over 1,000 hours of content annually and pioneering remote editing solutions for major shows and award-winning films. Earlier roles at Zig Zag and Fever Media gave him a foundation in production and technology management.
