Tom Winchester is Managing Director of Pure Fiction Television, the company he founded in 2022 with minority investment from See-Saw Films and talent agency Hamilton Hodell. Pure Fiction is a home for a new generation of creative producers. As a company we are driven by passion, inclusivity, collaboration, and a desire to leave a positive impact on an industry that we love. Previously Tom was a producer on Shogun for FX. He was also President of David Heyman’s TV company Heyday Television for three and a half years, overseeing the UK and US slates. At Heyday Tom Executive Produced Clickbait for Netflix US and two series of The Capture for BBC/Peacock. Before that Tom worked at DNA Films for 4 years, first as Head of Development and then Creative Director. Tom has also held development positions at Mammoth Screen, Bentley Productions and Tiger Aspect, with credits including Endeavour, Lewis, Secret Diary of a School Girl, Bouquet of Barbed Wire, Margot, and Midsomer Murders.  

Tom’s first job in the industry was producer’s assistant on the movie Tsotsi, which was the 2005 winner of the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Feature.
